“Better” Health Care?
by John Stossel
President Obama says government will make health care cheaper and better. But there’s no free lunch.
In England, health care is “free” — as long as you don’t mind waiting. People wait so long for dentist appointments (http://tinyurl.com/o4n2na) that some pull their own teeth (http://tinyurl.com/c5nvhc). At any one time, half a million people are waiting to get into a British hospital (http://tinyurl.com/2wln5l and http://tinyurl.com/qelezp). A British paper reports that one hospital tried to save money by not changing bedsheets. Instead of washing sheets, the staff was encouraged to just turn them over (http://tinyurl.com/4r2al9).

He also knew himself to have the gift of longevity, so that he had the prospect not only of starting on his beneficent plans, but of seeing them through to their final accomplishment.

Global Warming Is a Fraud
by David Deming
As the years pass and data accumulate, it is becoming evident that global warming is a fraud. Climate change is natural and ongoing, but the Earth has not warmed significantly over the last thirty years. Nor has there been a single negative effect of any type that can be unambiguously attributed to global warming.

Arizona Looks to Outlaw Global Warming Legislation
by Michael Andrews
Climate change is a controversial topic. Some believe man is causing the world to warm. Others point out that the Earth has undergone solar warming and cooling for millions of years and that current temperatures are well within historic levels. A recent report challenging AGW theory showed significant support with 31,478 U.S. researchers and scientists, many of whom hold Ph.D’s, signing a statement that they believe that man has not played a part in the current warming trend.

America Closing Her Door to Freedom
by Douglas Young
At 47, I lament how today’s America is far less free than the country of my youth. Replacing it is not a 1984ish totalitarian dictatorship, but what Alexis de Tocqueville called the “soft tyranny” of what Mark Levin sees as a 21st century “nanny state.” We so feared a Stalin or Hitler that we ignored endless assaults on our liberty by idealistic home-grown statists and the seductive narcotic of ever more government goodies buying our acquiescence. What makes Americans’ surrender to statism so shameful is that we freely chose this course in direct contravention of our founding principles.

SSRI Antidepressants Linked To Male Infertility
by S. L. Baker
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning a few years ago that pregnant women taking the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant paroxetine risk giving birth to infants with major birth defects, including heart abnormalities (http://www.naturalnews.com/021225_P…). Now comes word that the same drug (sold as Paxil, Paxil CR, Seroxat, Pexeva, and generic paroxetine hydrochloride) carries another danger that could keep babies from being born in the first place. A new study just published in the online edition of the journal Fertility and Sterility concludes as many as fifty percent of all men taking the antidepressant could have damaged sperm and compromised fertility.
